Many people have asked me where I got the xrays and, well... the answer is simplicity itself... Google Image Search. Having said that it does take a bit of cleverness... Googling for "X-Rays" will produce a lot but Googling for "radiography", "radiographic", "spinal" and even "fish X-ray" produces even more results.
They are just prints, although the idea of printing them off on clear mylar and displaying them on light boxes is an intriguing idea... I may have to steal that from you!
Thanks for the nice words, and... one bone fan to another... I really dig your spine drawings, you have a very delicate hand.
Where did you get these xrays? Are they just prints or do they light up from behind? I love bones and xrays. Great work. Nothing like it at all.
My spine drawings turn a lot of people away. Check out Walmor Correa. He makes detailed drawings of imaginary creatures. He was a medical illustrator and actually draws the dissections. He makes incredible sculptures out of bones. He showed at Art Basel Miami Beach. Traveled from Brazil and had a hard time getting into the country with the sculptures. The bones were collected by his enthusiasts.
