» Artist's Statement
I use the medium of photography to explore the spiritual, psychological, and artistic impacts and implications of the convergence of often multiple sources of light into one luminous moment. In contrast to a single source, my artwork is a statement of the existence and validity of many sources of light, inspiration, and nutrition for the soul. In my art, the artist herself also becomes a source of light; nature improves the artist, but the artist also improves nature.
Unique postures and unusual shifts in movement are moments of expansion, potential, and change. My art intends to use these wild, uncontrolled moments to overcome social conditioning and bring healing through unexpected states of appreciation and new understanding. For me, in a disjointed and chaotic world, working with nature provides an opportunity to turn away from conflict and limitations of the human condition, to shift and expand consciousness.

your friend, I too love pushing the envelope! Best, Ron
judy robbins said… No, on your email. I have found things in there that were important. Sorry I was not more specific.
judy robbins said… Thank you, Karen, for visiting my website. It is always in transition and I do like to write, but can't do the blog as often as I should. Visited your website - very beautiful! Always check your spam; I have found things in there that shouldn't be. Best.
judy robbins said… Karen, did you get my latest comment? Not sure it got posted. Artspan.com is an artists' website using pre-designed templates. It is not free and has a lot of members. They are making a big effort to help artists market their work through their newsletter. They bill themselves as the #1 artists website. I have not sold anything through the site but I am not much of a marketer - others use it in combination with Facebook and other methods.
judy robbins said… No, it is an artists' website, using their templates. It is really good at helping artists with a marketing newsletter and they recently updated their templates. They consider themselves the #1 artists website and do have a lot of members. It is not free, however. I have not sold anything from that site, but then again I am not a marketer. People use it in combination with Facebook pages and other methods. Next year I may hire someone to do a unique website for me.
judy robbins said… Yes, Karen, one of these days I will post mine to this site but I have two other projects I am working on right now, in addition to writing poetry. Don't know what to do next sometimes. I do have a website: judyrobbins.artspan.com. I have yet to receive any other response to that technical question from support or anyone else on this site. Artspan support people have been exemplary.
judy robbins said… Thank you, Karen, for your friend request. Your photos are amazing - the best I have seen yet of birds and those other ethereal objects. I look forward to seeing your website and will have to visit this website more often. Amazing.
Reggie Singleton said… Thank you for your kind words. The works are are meant to be pure emotion and feeling captured in space.
Katharine Gilbert said… Karacan- beautiful portfolio! Thank you for sharing such a wealth of talent.
