I don’t remember seeing these pieces in the site before, but do recognize they weren’t recently posted.  The comparison to Pollock’s seminal action paintings may not be avoidable when talking about these works, but I do prefer the painting entitled Threads of Time because of its departure from an all-over dripped surface. As you discuss in the short statement below the piece, the colors appear over-layered by more dominant black lines.  These gestural sweeps break the homogony of the work’s surface, and accentuate the already elongated vertical picture plane. The black lines also help to create a hierarchy in the equality of more saturated primary hued lines. While the scale of the physical piece isn’t noted, I imagine it has a rather commanding presence, if on human scale.
