That's moving.

I like the way you used the oil stick and acrylic.

Curator’s Comments:

Welcome to the site!  I enjoy viewing your ‘facts over politics’ works that span artistic and iconic Afro-centric subjects.  The portrait of Basquiat is particularly effective in combining spiritual overtones with a recognizable secular identity.  The third eye on his forehead ingenuously tilts towards the viewer, while his other facial features move dreamily off into a three-quarter gaze.  The active zig-zagging lines around his face and in his clothing and hair serve as radiating energy. The high chroma primary hues further this association, which counters the more passive gesture of his hand.  I find it interesting that the piece was painted on upstretched canvas, as it suggests a raw expression rather than a formal portrait on a traditionally stretched support.
